The Red Carpet
AMC 30 at The Block of Orange

Here's a closer shot of the red carpet.  They have finally let people in (fans are wearing the red hats).  The cameramen frequently ran by the crowd trying to get them to cheer so that they'd have clips to show on EW tonight.
A long red carpet awaited the stars.  A couple hundred yards in length, there was plenty of room for all fans.  It was set-up and all controlled quite well.  The cameramen had their own place and the fans had theirs.  Much better than I thought it would be since I had seen crowds in L.A. where it would be impossible to get close to a celebrity, but here if I had gone with someone, I could have gotten pictures with them all.
The back of the security guard's head and some of the fans behind the barricades (who says that when you are given a free hat, you have to put it on right away?).
In the foreground, some photographers who I watched set-up.  They had some pretty nice equipment and all I had was an Olympus D-400 digital camera.   If you follow the row of shops on the left down to the very tall protruding building (it's actually a very tall vertical advertisement), you'll see where the stars entered - they then had to walk all the way down to where I was taking this picture and then to the theater which was another couple hundred feet.
Celebrities should be arriving soon, and thus you can see all the cameramen setup and the fans awaiting the celebrities.
