Reviews Added: Pearl Harbor & Shrek
I finally got around to writing reviews for what are most likely going to be #1 and #2 at the box office this weekend, Pearl Harbor and Shrek. Both are entertaining, although Shrek is extremly funny, whereas Pearl Harbor entertains through special effects. Which ever way you go this weekend, you shouldn't be disappointed. Have a safe Memorial Day tomorrow!

Quick Update: DVD Reviews & Such
Right now I have 2 movie reviews that I just need to write the review for if I could get motivated/creative (Pearl Harbor & Shrek). But if you're thirsting for a review, check out the review of the recently released classic film, The Hidden Fortress. Also, if you have a chance, check out the new layout and let me know your thoughts. All persons who submit feedback will be entered into a drawing to win a Dave & Busters power card with $10 on it.

Box Office & Memento
A few things updated today (it's amazing what can be accomplished when you don't go to work). The In-depth Box Office charts have been updated up to last week's results. Also, I added a review of one of this year's best movies: Memento - if it's still playing near you, don't delay - GO SEE IT!

Weekend Box Office Update
Not surprisingly, The Mummy Returns once again dominated the box office, pulling in over $30 million. In a distant, but respectable, 2nd place, A Knight's Tale opened in 2nd place with $17 million (although studio execs were undoubtedly hoping for more). The rest of the Top 10 was pretty uneventful with the 10th film making the chart with under $1 million. Hopefully I'll get reviews up of the #9 and 10 movies, Memento and The Tailor of Panama soon.

New Review Added: The Mummy Returns
I wasn't a huge fan of the first one and I wasn't expecting much going into The Mummy Returns. Unfortunately, leaving the movie, I was even more disappointed than I expected to be. The acting is horrible (especially from Fraser and Velasquez), the 'special' effects anything but, and the plot non-existent. I know it most likely won't matter to anyone reading my review, as this movie will be a huge success at the box office, just don't say I didn't warn you. Read the review now.

Long time, no see...
Well, it's been a while since I updated Movielocity.com, but I've been having a lot of stuff to do at school, working an extra amount to see some big paychecks which allow me to go to more movies and pay for webhosting, so it's been busy the past few weeks. I'm working on a Driven review right now and I plan on seeing The Mummy Returns later today, and hopefully I can get a review of that up ASAP. Just wanted to say thanks for sticking in there with me through the hard times, and for your loyalty and patience, I'm giving away a $20 Old Navy gift card. Just e-mail me with the subject - "I Love Movielocity" and I will randomly pick one winner next Wednesday to give the card to. To make it easier, just click here and send it away. If I get over 50 entries, I'll also give away Dave & Buster gift cards with $10 on them to 2 other random entries. Thanks again, and come back again soon.
